Definition of Digital Cameras

I apologize for doing this a little backwards this week. I was on beach mode. Here is the definition of digital cameras.

There is quite a lot of technical language in you first post about digital cameras, but this Wikipedia one is much more user friendly. I like many people today own a digital camera and have used it as a teacher and as a librarian.

Teenagers love to have their pictures taken, or so it seems, because whenever I take my camera to school they plead with me to take their pictures for various reasons. I usually take class photos at the beginning of the semester and post them on the class bulletin board. I also ask students to write a biography to go with their pictures. I also do things like take pictures of their work to post on charts, birthday pictures of them, etc.

Because digital cameras are so easy to use and easy to carry around, I use mine to record presentations (in video mode) or school events. As the school librarian I am expected to keep record of different school events so my digital camera is always with me. I take it to meetings, workshops, and even staff parties. I just realized though that I need to get one that is a little more sophisticated and I should get the school to buy one specifically for the library. It is a required piece of technology in today's school library.
